Jimmy Foster

Jimmy Foster, 81, of La Marque, Texas, a U.S. Armed Forces veteran of World War II, a retired employee of Bohn’s Lumber Company, Texas City, Texas, entered his eternal rest at his home, with his family and loved ones by his side, on Friday, June 23, 2000. Visitation took place on Tuesday, June 27, 2000, 1-8 p.m., at Mainland Funeral Home, 2711 Texas Avenue, La Marque. Funeral services took place on Wednesday, June 28, 11 a.m., at Progressive Baptist Church, 909 40th Street, Galveston, Texas, officiated by Pastor Herman Lewis Sr. He was laid to rest at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery, Hitchcock, Texas. The family wishes to give special thanks to the UTMB Family Medicine doctors, 5D staff, AMED Hospice Staff, Progressive Baptist Church, and Greater New Hope Baptist Church.
