Jimmy Gowan Obituary

Visitation will be Monday, September 8, 2025, 12-1 PM at Elkins East Chapel. Funeral service will follow in the chapel.
Mr. Gowan was a Boiler Maker. He was a lover of Christ and a faithful follower. He loved fishing and the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlie Ruth Gowan; parents, Justin Hendrix and Lottie Ruth Gowan; sons in law, Roy Matsuno and Johnny Ward.
Mr. Gowan is survived by his children, Sherry Matsuno, Ann Cox (John), and Michelle Ward; siblings, Ann Pierce, Mamie Tyler, Marion Aunspaugh (Wayne), and Justin Hendrix Gowan, Jr. (Kristal); grandchildren, Kristie Ghrigsby, Johnathan Ward, Kayla Bobo (Coty), Jared Cox (Carly), and Nathan Cox (Caitlin); great-grandchildren, John Mikel Ward, Margaret Ward, Kaylin Ward, Ashlee Olsen, and Conan Cox; his dog, "Charlie".
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Parkinson's Research.
