Graveside Funeral Service for Mr. Jimmy Dale Hitt, 60, of Downsville, LA, will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Calhoun, LA with Rev. Ricky Bonnett officiating. Interment will be held at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Calhoun, LA.

 

Jimmy was born June 16, 1963, and passed away on April 9, 2024. He served his country in the United States Army. Jimmy was a truck driver by professional, traveling across the country. He enjoyed life to the fullest.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arviel and Irma Miller Hitt; brother, Gary Wayne Hitt; paternal grandparents, Fred Blanks and Dorothy Albritton Hitt; maternal grandparents, Carley Cordell and Laura Lorraine Maynor Miller; and brother-in-law, Asa Knox Sr.

 

Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Stephanie Stafford Hitt; two sons, Chase Alspaugh and girlfriend, Danielle Williams, and Joshua Hitt; three granddaughters, Bailey Alspaugh, Hailee Hitt Hatten, and Brooklyn Adriana Hitt; three sisters, Rhonda Knox, Lisa Morace and fiancé, Drew Hawthorne, Charlotte Morace; brother, Shawn Morace and wife April; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.

 

Pallbearers will be Bo Mullins, Bill Gray, CJ Tidwell, Jerry Armwood, Q Nguyen, and Asa Knox, Jr. Honorary Pallbearer will be Christopher Johnson.

 

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, April 15, 2024, at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe.

 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Glenwood Regional Medical Center.

 

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
