Jimmy Lee Miller, of Bucklin, Missouri, passed away on May 11, 2025, at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. He was 87 years old. Born on August 31, 1937, in Runnells, Iowa, Jimmy was the son of Charles Miller and Cornealia (Vandeveer) Miller. On March 24, 1962, he married the love of his life, Cherry Mae Baartz, in Waukegan, Illinois. Together, they built a life rooted in love, faith, and family. Jimmy proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. After his service, he went on to work as a biomedical engineer, dedicating his career to advancing medical care and helping others. He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Cherry; two sisters; one brother; and his granddaughter, Alissa Dudley. Jimmy is survived by his daughters, Sherry (Paul) Dudley of Linneus, Missouri, and Gwen Miller of Ava, Missouri. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Cody and Aaron Dudley; William and Jimmy Roffmann; and Jack, Sam, and Ruby Lewis. He is lovingly remembered by his great-grandchildren, Adrian Dudley and Tiabeanie Lewis. Jimmy had a passion for gardening and took great pride in raising his dwarf fruit trees-especially his apple trees. He also loved fishing and found joy in driving others to appointments, always willing to lend a hand where it was needed. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, his unwavering love for his family, and his life of service and kindness. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Delaney Funeral Home in Bucklin, Missouri, followed by the funeral ceremony at 11:00 AM. Jimmy will be laid to rest at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Bucklin American Legion Post #57.

Jim was known for always being with Cherry. He would help her with Civic Club projects. His love for sweets was also well known, cause he enjoyed "sampling" them. Rest in Peace Jim.
