Obituary
James "Jimmy" Moore age 80 of Baker passed away on Sunday April 30, 2023 at his home. He was born in Crestview, FL at the old Enzor Hospital on September 2, 1942 to J. G. and Mildred Moore. He grew up in Baker and had been a lifelong resident of Baker. He served his country in the United States Army for 2 years and was a lifetime member of the VFW. Jimmy worked as a hunting guide for 40 plus years. He loved to hunt and fish and spending time with his granddaughter Savanna Ryann, and teaching her about the outdoors. He loved to ride in the Ranger with his border collie Charlie. Jimmy raced boats for many years all over the country and loved to race cars as well. Most of all he loved his family. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 53 years Betty Jane Moore; his daughter Tracy Walden and husband Micheal; brother Larry and his long time friend Betty Romo; the apple of his eye and sidekick Savanna Ryann Walden.
A time of visitation with the family will be held on Thursday May 4, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. til 8:00 p.m. at Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home. The celebration of Jimmy's life will be on Friday May 5, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Whitehurst Powell with burial to follow in the Griffith Cemetery.
