Jimmy Lee O'Neal Jr. the first born, beloved son of Jimmy Lee O'Neal Sr., who proceed him in death and Elner Boulden O'Neal on September 19, 1962. He received his wings on April 25, 2025 at 11:58 pm.
He leaves to Celebrate his home going. His mother: Elner Boulden O'Neal of Austin TX.;
one sister: Leslie Renea O'Neal of Austin TX.; one Brother: Demetrius O'Neal of Denver CO.; one son: Conner O'Neal of Hobbs, NM; and one Daughter: Alexandria O'Neal of Hobbs, NM; two Stepdaughters: Taylor Hammonds, and Marsha Wormly Johnston who he loved with all his heart.
and three Uncles and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by two brothers: Otis O'Neal and Christopher O'Neal Gardner. Jimmy was also the cousin of former United States President Barack Obama.
Jimmy attended Lovington Public Schools for his formal education, graduating from Lovington High School in 1982, He later attended NMJC.
Jimmy was a jack of all trades, there was nothing he could not do, from Carpentry to Electrical Work, Car/Truck Mechanics there was nothing he could not fix, he may have taken a long time but in the end, it would be fixed. Ask him anything on those subjects, and he could tell you how to fix it. He was even tempered, didn't like to answer bunch of questions. All you had to do is say what you wanted and let him do it. He would help anyone. Jimmy was a member of New Hope Baptist Church where he was Baptized. He gave his life to Christ at an early age. But, he back slide into world which hindered his Ability to Serve the Lord, but he confessed his sins and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior he said just before he received his wings " I'm ready to go meet my maker! He was a die heart Dallas Cowboys Fan and loved to play golf.
Funeral services for Jimmy Lee O'Neal Jr. will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 10:00 am at Refuge Church with Pastor Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 16, 2025 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Kirby-Ratlif Funeral Home.
