Jo Anne Murin, 90, of Delmont, PA passed away peacefully with family at her side on October 27, 2024 after a courageous battle with dementia. Born on February 25, 1934, Jo Anne was the daughter of the late Joseph and Hazel Bott of Charleroi, PA. After high school, Jo Anne went on to study at Robert Morris University. She met Edward “Spurky” Murin and the two were married at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church on June 4th, 1955. After Spurky’s passing, Jo Anne continued to run the family business, Sit N’ Bull Bar. After Jo Anne sold the business, she spent her time with her family, friends and pups as well as traveling, gardening and hosting family dinners. Jo Anne also worked part time as the beloved sample gal at the Murrysville Giant Eagle. She especially enjoyed having her grandchildren over for weekend sleepovers while serving up her infamous sugar sandwiches. She was a dedicated grandmother who always prioritized her grandchildren over herself. In her later years where mobility and memory were not what they once were, Jo Anne received wonderful care by a team that she loved at Presbyterian Senior Care in Oakmont. She enjoyed relaxing and listening to her granddaughter sing during these years. Jo Anne was predeceased by parents and spouse, Spurky. She is survived by her children Melanie (Jim) Mazanek, Stacy (Daniel) Krauth, Pam Murin and grandchildren Rachel (William) Terrill, Nathaniel (Rachel) Mazanek, Sydney Krauth and great grandchildren, Layla and Keeley. Friends will be received Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen, services will begin at 5:00 pm in the funeral home.
