Jo Ann Santa Maria

Jo Ann Santa Maria, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at her home in Rossville, GA. She was a longtime resident of the North Georgia area before moving to Virginia, Brazil, Illinois, Tennessee, and finally returning home to Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Duane and Helen Kingsley; her husband of over 40 years, Enrique Santa Maria; and daughter, Michele (Don).
Jo Ann is survived by her son, Nick (Shenandoah) Santa Maria; her grandchildren, Arlan and Hazel; brothers, Ray, John (Linda) Kingsley and sister Ruth Wells; and many nieces and nephews.
She was a sports fan through and through. From cheering on her beloved Chicago Cubs, Bears, and Bulls to knowing the stats for every Georgia Bulldog player, Jo Ann was a sports fanatic in the truest sense.
Jo Ann was a loyal friend and devoted to her family. She remained close friends with Temple Smart Eldridge from the age of 5 until her death. Jo Ann was a wonderful, caring mother to her two children Michele and Nick and relished every second she spent with her grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful caregivers at Anchor of Care who have provided their loving support, companionship, and remained by her side caring for her for the past year.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park, Rossville, GA.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville.
