Faye Stone Straub

Faye Stone Straub, 91, of Rossville, Georgia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 28,2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 11, 1934, in Sylvania, Alabama, to the late William and Effie Stone.

Faye was a graduate of Sylvania High School and a longtime member of Newnan Springs United Methodist Church. She retired from Olan Mills, where she worked faithfully as an administrative assistant. Faye was also a member of the Jolly Elders Club and a dedicated volunteer at Parkridge Medical Center.

A woman of many talents, Faye found joy in knitting, yard work, flower gardening, reading, and canning vegetables. She was also known as an excellent cook. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family, whom she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 33 years, Paul James Straub; her son, James Byron Straub; and her six sisters and six brothers.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter-in-law, Susan D. Straub; her grandchildren, James Kelly Straub and Nicole (Jason) Wilhoite; and her great-grandchildren, Jami Straub, Ethan Wilhoite, and Emma Wilhoite. She is also survived by her special friend and companion, George Harvey, along with many extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Lane Funeral Home and Crematory South Crest Chapel.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 12:00 PM in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with interment to follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens South.
