Jo Lynne Sutherland

Jo Lynne Sutherland began her wonderful life in Alexandria, Louisiana, on June 23, 1952. She lived 71 years of joy, always bringing laughter to those around her. Her resurrection into the hands of Jesus began on April 13, 2024.
Jo Lynne always selflessly placed her loved ones before herself, which ultimately brought her the most joy. Her faith in God never allowed her to wander without hope and to spread that infectious happiness through her children. We shall miss our mother for an uncertain number of days but we trust in the Lord that our time apart shall be temporary, for the hour of salvation is coming.
Jo Lynne will be remembered for her love, happiness, and laughter. Those who knew her, know that she never met a stranger and lived as an example in her faith. May she rest in peace as we carry on so many wonderful memories that we have been so blessed with by her.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her mother, Bobbie Johnson (91); her three most prized possessions: her children, Racquel McCraney (Neil), Jon Duran, and Jantzen Duran. She also adored being a grandmother to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Gathering will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, April 18, 2024, in the Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles Chapel. Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon until the start of the service. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
