Jo Anne Talley

Jo Anne Talley, of Panama City, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, May 25, 2025. She was born on December 7, 1945, in Blakely, Georgia. Jo Anne worked 30 years as a school bus driver for Bay District Schools. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing bingo, and kissing all her grandbabies. She loved spending time with her family and friends. For all that knew her, she will always be loved and never be forgotten.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Jimmy O. Talley, Sr., her kids, Jimmy O. Talley, Jr. and wife Kelly of Springfield; and Angela Joanne Talley Shaw and husband Bradley of Callaway; She also leaves behind six grandchildren; Hope Talley of Springfield, Patrick Lindsey and wife Tiffany of Gulf Breeze, Gracie Ayers and husband Zack of Altha, Ryan Potts and wife Karyme of Lynn Haven, Kelli Jo Potts and Barsendez Greene, Sr. of Rochester, New York, and Alexis Shaw of Callaway. Her seven great-grandchildren are Jackson Mahar and Audrey Mahar of Gulf Breeze, Myles Ayers and Owen Mason Ayers of Altha, Anna Bella Potts and Aurora Potts of Lynn Haven, and Elijah McDowell of Rochester, New York. Jo Anne is also survived by two brothers, Richard Lawrence and wife Sandra of Wewahitchka, and Teddy Lawrence of Callaway, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
Jo Anne was preceded in death by her parents, William T. Lawrence, Sr., Lettie Mae Lawrence, brother Eddie Lawrence, and great grandson Barsendez Greene, Jr.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at the First Baptist Church of Callaway. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with pastor Jessie Dasher officiating. Interment will follow at the Garden of Memories. Pallbearers are Patrick Lindsey, Ryan Potts, Mike Bouchard, Adam Shaw, Norman Todd, and Bill Anders. Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Carter and Don Montgomery.
