Joan E. Bruce, 78, of Blackwood, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025, at Samaritan Hospice in Voorhees, NJ. Born on August 16, 1947, in Blackwood Terrace, NJ, Joan's life was a testament to the power of love and the strength of family bonds. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
Joan's journey through life was shared with her loving husband of 58 years, Harry J. Bruce, Sr. Together, they built a family founded on love, respect, and joy. She was a guiding light for her children, Harry J. Bruce, Jr. and his wife Debbie, Robert E. Bruce and his wife Susan, and Joanie DeValerio and her husband Al. Her grandchildren, Crystal, Harry, III, Samuel, Savannah, Aiden, and Robert, were the apples of her eye, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She is also survived by her sister, Helen McKeon and her husband Jim and many nieces and nephews.
A woman of deep Christian faith, Joan was a long-standing member of New Brooklyn United Methodist Church in Williamstown, where she found great solace and community. Her faith was the cornerstone of her existence, and it shone brightly through her actions and her unwavering commitment to her family and friends.

She was the heart of every family gathering, ensuring that each event was as grand and memorable as possible. Her love and compassion were her greatest gifts, and she shared them generously, making everyone in her presence feel special and loved.
Christmas and the holidays were Joan's favorite times of the year, as they brought her immense joy and an opportunity to showcase her love for her family. Her home was a haven of warmth and celebration, filled with laughter, love, and the spirit of togetherness.
Joan's legacy is one of love, kindness, and the joy of living a life dedicated to others. She was the embodiment of a loving and faith-filled soul, and her memory will continue to inspire and guide her family and all who were blessed to know her.
