Joan Mullis Byrd, 86, of Concord, NC passed away on April 10, 2022.
Joan was born in Charlotte, NC on September 23, 1935 to the late Sam and Annabell Mullis.
Along with her parents Joan is preceded in death by her husband Skip Byrd and son Tripp Byrd.
She is survived by her son Don Byrd (Andrea), daughters Karen Abercrombie (Reggie) and Pam Oliveros (Ronnie Harris), six granchildren, twelve great granchildren and sisters Angie Key and Linda Keeter.
Joan loved life and most importantly, she loved living life with her family. Her great sense of humor and her ability to tell a good joke will definitely be missed. Joan enjoyed gardening and being outside when she could. While outdoors, she took great pleasure in watching the birds and was also known for her abilty to out fish all of her family members.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that charitable donations be made in Joan's honor to the Levine Cancer Institue, which helped one of her grandchildren.
