Joan Ann Dutkiewicz

Saint Albans – Joan Ann Dutkiewicz a lifelong area resent passed away on Saturday, March 2nd, 2024, at the St. Albans Health & Rehab with her loving family at her side.
Born in St. Albans on October 17th, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Lionel H. and Marion (Deny) Remillard. Joan was 79 years.
On June 17th, 1967, Joan married Francis A. Dutkiewicz, who predeceased her on December 29th, 2012.
Joan was a homemaker for several years living in Bristol, Connecticut until she moved back to her hometown to be with family. She became a caregiver for her parents for several years and provided daycare for her grandchildren. She was a live in provider of Northwestern Counseling and Support Developmental Services for several years. Joan was an avid reader and loved spending time doing word searches and puzzles.
Joan leaves behind her children, Michael Dutkiewicz, Marc Dutkiewicz and his wife, Shelley, Tony Dutkiewicz and his wife, Susie, and Marian Dutkiewicz, as well as her grandchildren, Jessica, Marcus, Justine, Brandon, Hillary, Amber, Isaiah, Desiree, Mathew and Mason and great-grandchildren, Paul Jr., Madelaine, Eleanor, Silas, Calum, Amelia, Theodore, and Finley.
She also leaves her siblings, Carol Girard, Hubert & Jerilyn Remillard, Jean Haner, Patrica Remillard, Maurice and Cathy Remillard, Norman Remillard and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, and husband, Francis, Joan was predeceased by her grandson, Malcolm Dutkiewicz, sister, Joyce Remillard, brothers, Jimmy and Michale Remillard, brothers-in-laws, Larry Girard and Al Haner, daughter-in-law, Joyce (Foley) Dutkiewicz.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, March 15th, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street, St. Albans.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 16th, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Parish, Holy Angels Church, 245 Lake Street, St. Albans, with The Reverend Father Christopher Micale as celebrant. Prayers of committal and interment will place at a later date in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
