Joan was born in Newark, NJ, on November 4, 1938 to the late Ernest and Johanna Blunt. She worked as a clerk for Memorial Medical Center in South Amboy.
Joan is predeceased by her parents Ernest and Johanna and stepfather Joseph Kempczynski and her brother Ernest Blunt and loving husband Ellis. She is survived by her devoted children Ellis, John, David Rodger, Donald Franklin and Susan Mecabe. She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 7-9 PM at Day Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Friday 11:00AM at Day Funeral Home, with entombment following at Forest Green Memorial Park in Morganville, NJ.
