Joan M. Hand passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025. She was 87. Born in Philadelphia to the late Harry and Helen Weiss, Joan is survived by her step-son, Todd T. Hand (Kim); daughter-in-law, Tanya; grandchildren, Chanden, Christian, Nathaniel, Rhyan, Melanie, Avery, and great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. Joan is preceded in death by her husband, William A. Hand, Jr.; son, William A. Hand III; and siblings, Harry Weiss, Frank Weiss, Jerry Weiss, and Helen Daly.
Joan was a longtime resident of Richboro, Pennsylvania, and spent the last decade of her life at Neshaminy Manor Nursing Home. A devoted Philadelphia sports fan, she cheered passionately for the Eagles and Phillies, never missing a game if she could help it. Joan's warmth, humor, and unwavering loyalty made her beloved by all who knew her, and her memory lives on in the many lives she touched.
Relatives and friends are invited to Joan's Life Celebration on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 611 Knowles Avenue, Southampton, PA 18966. A Mass will begin at 11:30. Interment will be private at a later date.
