Joan C. (Neary) Leonard, of Braintree, formerly of Dorchester, passed away on November 15, 2024. She was 98.
Joan enjoyed bowling, bingo, watching game shows attending the Weymouth Whipple Center for various events as well as following her Boston Sports Teams, the Patriots and the Red Sox. Family was everything to Joan and she just loved always being around her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Loving mother of James N. Leonard and his wife, Joan, of Florida, Mary E. Condry and her husband, James, of New Hampshire, Elizabeth Leonard of Florida, Charles Leonard and Tracy Chandley of Rhode Island, Joseph P. Leonard of Abington, Paula Wolff and her husband, Carl of Chelmsford, and the late Joanne C. Leonard and the late Maureen A. Naymie and her surviving husband, Michael, of Dedham.
Sister of the late Mary F. Brigida and Charles R. Neary.
Grandmother of Jill Naymie, Michael Naymie, Lauren Naymie, Amanda Gunn, James Leonard, Taylor Leonard, Emily Condry, Neil Condry, Mark Buchanan, and the late Andrea Naymie. Great Grandmother of George Naymie and Maura Naymie. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 11/21/2024 from 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A - Bicknell Square).
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Friday 11/22/2024 prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM.
Burial in Village Cemetery, Weymouth.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis TN, 38105.
