Joan Catherine McClure, age 84, of Walton, KY passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.
Born in 1940 to John and Mary Halpin, Joan graduated from Notre Dame Academy before marrying her
loving husband of 64 years, Dr. Joseph McClure. Joan was a dedicated member of St. Timothy Parish
where she served as Eucharistic Minister and cultivated friendships as well as vegetables in Father
Ruschman’s Garden. While living in New Jersey for 32 years; Joan served as Altar Rosary Society
President and Girl Scout leader. Joan is survived by her husband, Joseph McClure; children, Jackie
Magyarics (Bob), Jenny Staten (Todd), Jim McClure (Liz), John McClure (Robin), Jerry McClure (Nicole)
and Jill Allegretti (Mike O’Neill); siblings, Jack Halpin (Margaret), Mike Halpin (Peggy) and Madonna Cobb
(Ken); grandchildren, Bobby Magyarics (Amy), Casey Magyarics, Joe Staten, Nick McClure, Emma
Allegretti, Reid Allegretti, Lucy Allegretti, Ben McClure, Sophia McClure, Noah McClure and Jonah
McClure and great-grandchild, Teddy Magyarics.
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 4, 2024, at St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church, Union, KY from
12:30 p.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 p.m. followed by a reception in the church hall.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice Care of St. Elizabeth 483 S Loop Rd, Edgewood, KY
