Joan Pauline Phillips

Joan Phillips passed away Tuesday November 5th. Joan was born April 6th, 1958, in Winchester, Kansas the daughter of Leo and Donna Cummings. Joan was a dedicated nurse for 30 years. She was a caring and selfless person offering support to others throughout her life.
Most recently Joan had served as the Librarian for the City of Enterprise Public Library. Her love for the children of the community became clear through the youth programs that she developed. She enjoyed reading, gardening, attending Church, writing down scripture and volunteering in the community. Joan especially loved to spend time with her Grandchildren.
Joan is survived by her mother, and her daughters Rachel Moss (Russell) Sarah Haybarker (Codi) and Libby Phillips and her sons Jedidiah Phillips (Rebekah) and Elijah Phillips as well as her brothers Dennis Cummings (Martha), Randall Cummings (Brenda) Patrick Cummings (Wanda) and her sisters Linda Gooch (Pat), Peggy Parker, and Nancy Botkins (Scott). Joan also is survived by fourteen grandchildren.
Joan was preceded in death by her father and her sister Dee Dee Rule. Memorial services will be Monday November 11th, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Christian Church of Abilene 7th and Buckeye, Abilene, Kansas. Memorials can be made to the Enterprise Public Library and can be dropped off at the time of service or mailed to Danner Funeral Home 501 N. Buckeye, Abilene, Kansas 67410.
