The family of Joan Ann Trombley, 85, of St. Albans, announces that she passed away peacefully September 22, 2025, in her home. She was born in St. Albans, March 8, 1940 to Arnold and Eva (Gaudette) Bessette. She worked as a respite provider, community support staff and a shared home care provider at Northwest Counseling and Support Services.

Joan will be remembered for her love of working with her special needs clients. She was a loving and caring person with an excellent ability to listen. She had a passion for caring for everyone. She will be remembered for always being there for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Christmas Eve family gatherings were very important to Joan. She served as Regent for 2 terms, Trustee for a few years, Recording and Financial Secretary and a District Deputy for the State of Vermont Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She worked for Dr. Shulman for many years. Joan loved sewing, scrapbooking, shopping and was known for shopping with her sister Sue for days. QVC was one of her favorite shopping outlets.

She is survived by her daughter Julie Pratt, her son, Timothy Trombley and spouse Christine Trombley, her sister Susan Bressette and spouse Bill Bressette, 6 grandchildren, Adam, Andrew and Jacob Pratt, Ty and Karli Trombley, 6 great-grandchilren, Makayla, Kaden, Hailey, Adaley, Avalyn, and Paxton and expected in November, Delia Logan, and her sister-in-law Diane Bessette, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold Alexander Bessette and Eva Yvonne Bessette, her grandson Logan Pratt and her twin brother, John Bessette and brother, Peter Bessette.

A Remembrance Gathering and Mass of Christian Burial will be held October 9, 2025, at 11:00 AM, in Holy Angels Church. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery at a later date. A Time of Reflection will be held October 8, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. in the Brady & Levesque Funeral Chapel.

As an alternative to flowers, memorials may be made in her name to Court #468 of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, PO Box 1141, St. Albans, VT 05478.

Arrangements are entrusted to Jeffrey Levesque and the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home, where fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared with her family and friends at: www.bradyandlevesque.com.
