Shawn Patrick Zier

The family of Shawn Patrick Zier, 54, of St.Albans, announces that he passed away unexpectedly August 11, 2025, in St.Albans. He was born in Manassas, VA, on December 30, 1970 to David and Gail (Burton) Perras. He worked as a Machinist and Machine Operator for Vermont Precision Tools, Ben & Jerry's, Husky Injection Moldings, and Lafayette Construction. Shawn loved music and especially guitars, of which he had several of. He taught himself how to play bass guitar by reading books, and watching videos on the internet.

Shawn loved his pets and collecting different things, to include sports cards, comic books, NASCAR collectibles, and vinyl records. His mom always thought he would make a good pawn shop owner. Shawn was known for being multi-talented at many things. He had a love for doing sheetrock work, which he was very maticulous at. Shawn loved classic cars of all makes and models. He had a special love for his first car of which was a 1967 Chevelle. Above all, Shawn's main love was for Joe'i Jacobs, his fiance and love of his life.

Shawn is survived by his mother, Gail Perras and her partner Bill Malboeuf of St. Albans, VT, his brother Ian Zier and spouse Becky Zier of Swanton, VT, his neice and nephew Karley and Keegan Zier, his "Granny" Betsy Burton of Madison Heights, VA, and his step-father Michael Perras of St. Albans, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Shawn also leaves his canine companions Gage and Markey, and feline companions Tanka and BJ.

Shawn was preceded in death by his father David Zier and Shawn's fiance Joe'i Jacobs.

A Remembrance Gathering will be held privately in the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
