Howard Joseph Fish passed away peacefully at his home in St. Albans Bay on August 8th, 2025, surrounded by family. He was 73.

Howard is survived by his two daughters, Susan and Jamie; four grandsons, John Ward, Zachary Ward, Jacob Laframboise, and Joshua Laframboise; and one great-grandson, Nolan Ward. He also leaves behind seven sisters and two brothers. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Karen Fish; his parents, Howard and Mary Fish; and his older brother, Daniel Fish.

Howard was a man of quiet strength and endless generosity. Known for his kind heart, tireless work ethic, and a smile that could light up the room, he was truly a jack of all trades. Whether tinkering around the yard, building something useful, or teaching his grandsons how to bait a hook, Howard gave freely of his time and talents.

His greatest joy was found outdoors with a fishing rod in hand and a cooler full of stories (and beer). He believed that patience was best learned on the water, and that the best fish tales were the ones that got away. His laughter, often heard echoing across the lake, will be deeply missed.

Though we mourn his passing, we find comfort in knowing Howard has cast his final line and joined his sweetheart Karen for eternity.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bayada Hospice, 463 Mountain View Drive, Suite 100, Colchester, VT 05446 (place in memo, in memory of Howard Fish). Their exceptional care and compassion during his final days left a lasting impression, and the family is forever grateful.
