Madeleine N. Bushey

The family of Madeleine N Bushey, 92, of St. Albans, announces that she passed away peacefully August 29, 2025, in St. Albans. She was born in St. Albans, December 26, 1932 to Ralph and Blanche (Lussier) Morin. Madeleine married Roger Bushey, August 26, 1950. She worked for Union Carbide and after she retired she waitressed at the Red Top for many years.

Madeleine enjoyed watching people pass while sitting on her porch. She also was an avid watcher of the news/weather.

She is survived by her daughter Cynthia Ryan and her spouse Gavin of Fairfield, VT, her sons Daniel Bushey and Ronald Bushey both of St. Albans, her grandchildren Kate Raleigh and her husband David, Ellen Gleason and her husband Michael, Sarah Cowles and her husband Gabe, and Jason Bushey, along with her sister Jackie Krish, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Madeleine was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Morin and Blanche Morin, her husband Roger, her son David Bushey, and her siblings Frances Garnett, Jeannine Kittell, Paul Morin, and Bernie Morin.

Madeleine's family wish to extend their sincere appreciation to Northwestern Medical Center, St. Albans Health and Rehab Center, and Bayada Hospice, for the love and care they showed to her over the last few months.

A Remembrance Gathering will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 11:00 AM, in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

As an alternative to flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the Franklin County Animal Rescue, 30 Sunset Meadows, St. Albans, VT 05478..
