Joan was born on April 16, 1934 in Paterson, New Jersey and was one of two children born to the late Robert Aquilio and Theresa Maietta. Joan grew up in Paterson, and later attended Eastside high school. She later relocated to Pequannock, where she was a resident for over 50 years.
Joan enjoyed spending time with her family and loved to cook and entertain.
Joan is survived by her brother, Robert Aquilio (Irene), her niece, Debra Mackey (Ed), and their children; Courtney Mackey Wilbur and Shawn Mackey. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Nunzio; her son, Nicholas; and her nephew, Bobby Aquilio.
