Joseph Zisa, 89 of Saddle Brook passed away peacefully on Monday, September 16th, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving wife, daughter and son-in-law. Born in Sicily, Italy, he came to the United States in 1955. He lived in Hackensack for 36 years before settling in Saddle Brook where he resided for the past 33 years. He worked for C. Goldberg Slipper Company in Hackensack before retiring. He was an active member of the San Giuseppe Santa Croce Society in Hawthorne.
Beloved husband of Carmela (DiPetrillo) for over 66 years, loving father of Rosemarie & her husband Julio M. Vidal, dear brother of Gino Zisa & Gina Zisa, adored grandfather of Jessica & Joseph. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Giuseppe & Rosa, brothers, Giovanni, Gaetano, Salvatore & Peter, sisters, Sadie, Giovanna and Maria. He is survived by many loving brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Visiting Thursday 4 to 8 p.m. at the Patrick J. Conte Funeral Home 274 Market Street, Elmwood Park. Funeral Friday 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Funeral Mass St. Leo's R.C. Church, Elmwood Park 9:30 am. Entombment St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook.
In lieu of flowers donations in Joseph's memory for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital would be appreciated.
