Joann Dickmann, 83, of Jackson passed away Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the Chaffee Nursing Center.

She was born September 22, 1941, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Linus Winchester and Ida Mae Bowers. She and Barry Dickmann were married on April 6, 1959. They had been married 51 years when he passed away on June 7, 2010.

Joann attended school at Portageville and later at Oak Ridge. She loved camping and traveling throughout the United States. Joann also enjoyed gardening, listening to country music, caring for animals, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Loving survivors include her two daughters, Sherry Friese and Michelle (Kent) Quade both of Jackson; four grandchildren, Derek and Ross Friese both of Jackson, Emily (Matthew) Ulrich of Oak Ridge, Ethan (Minhau) Quade of Camdenton; four great-grandchildren, Norah and Rowan Ulrich, Eleanor Winchel and Marshall Friese and an expected great-grandchild, Waylon Quade; and siblings, Arnold Bowen of Millersville, Bobby Bowen of Moody, Larry Bowen of Gordonville, Shirley Smith of Jackson, Betty Gracyus of Oak Ridge and Joy Hill of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother, Thomas Lewis Bowen.

The visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Monday, August 11, 2025, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m., on Monday, August 11, 2025, at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

The family suggests that contributions be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or Safe Harbor Animal Shelter.
