JoAnn Kirk Green Evans, 84, of Owensboro, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026, under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. She was born March 10, 1941, in Highland Park, Michigan, to the late Audrey Lee and Dorothy Stewart Kirk.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a mere 12 hours by her husband of 37 years, Adrian Ray Evans, Sr.
JoAnn was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. She graduated from Hartford High School in Hartford, KY. JoAnn was a avid animal lover, spending many hours watching birds and enjoying the animals at her son’s home. She loved 1970’s country music and was known as an immaculate housekeeper.
JoAnn is survived by her sons, Greg (Pamela) Green of Utica, and Jeffrey Scott Green of Coldspring, TX; grandson, Curtis Green of Huntsville, TX; one great-granddaughter, Isabelle Green also of Huntsville, TX; and a brother, Bill (Vonell) Kirk of Hartford, KY.
Arrangements for Mrs. Evans will be private.
