Joann M. Jim (McArthur), age 90, of Richboro, PA passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025 at St. Mary Hospital. Joann was born on November 11, 1934 in Lockport, NY to the late Ronald and Ethelyn McArthur. Joann was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend.
Joann is survived by her three children, Karen, John (Jana), Jeff and her granddaughter Kari. She is survived by her brother-in-law Michael T. Jim and his wife Connie, brother-in-law Nicholas and wife Elizabeth. Joann is also survived by her nieces Michele (Oustampasidou) and husband Michael, Jackie, and nephews, Michael, Nicholas and Christopher, and her cousin Richard Hill and wife Monica.
Joann was a homemaker and worked at the Carriage Stop gift shop in Richboro for many years where she made long and lasting friendships. Joann was a talented seamstress and enjoyed searching for antiques with her father throughout PA and NY. She also had a deep interest in knowing how things worked and loved all things mechanical ("This Old House"), and shared this passion and hobby with her son Jeff. She was talented amateur artist (watercolor, charcoal and pencils).
Joann also served her community on the Northampton Township Historical Society Board. She was a member of Addisville Reformed Church with her family. Joann loved to travel with her husband John experiencing Europe and the US with friends and family.
Joann's family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 2, from 10am-11:30am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road, Richboro, PA. A funeral service will follow and interment following at Washington's Crossing National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choosing, or the Tyler Park Tree Restoration Project, 101 Swamp Road, Newtown PA 18940.
