Joann McCarry Obituary
Joann was born on July 28, 1933, in Sparlingville, Michigan, the daughter of the late George and Christine (Leffler) Nutt.
She married Michael Glen McCarry on December 6, 1952, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. He passed away on October 23, 2021.
Joann loved to golf and go bowling. In her free time, she liked traveling to casinos. The most fulfilling and rewarding joy for Joann was found in taking care of her mother whom she loved dearly.
Joann is survived by her brother, Gary (Sue) Nutt of Burtchville Township, and her niece, Janice (Bob) Young of Chesterfield.
A gathering and viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Grace Memorial-Smith Chapel, 1525 Hancock Street, Port Huron, MI 48060. A sharing of memories will begin at 5:30 p.m. Interment will take place at Lakeside Cemetery in Port Huron.
Memorials are suggested to the Dementia & Alzheimer's Association of St. Clair County, 600 Grand River Ave., Port Huron, Michigan, 48060.

The Smith family children will never forget you aunt Joanne. So many memories we shared ...the holidays especially at Christmas...playing poker and the visits to Frankenmuth where you and uncle Mike lived. Reast in peace beautiful lady along with my mom Betty Smith ( your sister ) uncle Ron Nutt ( your brother) grandpa and grandma Nutt and your husband Michael McCarry who was a wonderful man!
