Joanne Sherwood ObituaryJoanne Sherwood, 75, of Childress, Texas passed away July 14, 2025.
A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel.
Joanne was born on February 24, 1950, to Herbert and Thelma Hutcheson in Santa Fe New Mexico.
She grew up in Los Alamos, and graduated high school in June 1967. Joanne worked a few jobs throughout her life such as babysitting and working for the Wellington cafeteria. She loved her dogs and cats and enjoyed watching game shows such as jeopardy and wheel of fortune. She loved her great grandson Zander who called her Gammy and would do anything for him.
She is preceded in death by her husband Bobby Sherwood and her father; Herbert Hutcheson and mother; Thelma Culwell.
Joanne is survived by:
Son: Timothy Sherwood of Childress, Texas
Grand Daughter: Daisey Sherwood and partner Hunter Melton of Childress, Texas
Grand Son: Janse Bourland of Childress, Texas
Great GrandChildren: Alekzander Melton of Childress, Texas
Sister: Carole Goldwater of Lubbock, Texas
Niece: Elizabeth Conser of Lubbock, Texas
Nephew: Matt Goldwater
Nephew: Wesley Goldwater of Lubbock, Texas
Along with numerous great nieces and nephews.
