JoAnn Prezely Slaugh passed away peacefully in Sandy, Utah after a brief illness at 79 years of age.
She was born June 10th, 1945 to Joseph Prezely and Ann Bontsik-Prezely
She spent a happy childhood in Salt Lake City, Utah and graduated from South High School in 1963. After High School she worked for Mountain Bell Telephone Company and then worked for the State of Utah where she retired after 31 years.
She met and married Ted Slaugh, the love of her life, on May 20, 1972. They had a wonderful 31 years of marriage until Ted preceded her in death in 2003. They loved to travel and enjoyed spending their time together.
JoAnn is preceded in death by her husband Ted and her mother and father.
She is survived by her daughter, Laura Jayne Slaugh, her husband, Nathaniel Crompton, granddaughter Ava Marie Seber, her brother Gerald Prezely, nieces, nephews and other loving cousins and family.
She is also survived by her step children- Carrie Ann (Tommie) Griffin, Steve (Debbie) Slaugh, Penny Spencer, Mike (Tammy) Slaugh and Terry Slaugh of New Mexico.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 12th, 2025 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East10600 South in Sandy at 10 am.
Friends and family may attend the viewing Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 pm and one hour prior to services.
