Joanna Walters Altamare, 99, of Macungie PA, formerly of Uniontown PA was welcomed into her eternal home on Saturday November 30, 2024 with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her husbands George "Red" Walters and Norman Altamare as well as a son John Walters. She was an accomplished painter, loved line dancing and won numerous shuffleboard medals. She served her country working at the Goodyear factory in Akron OH assembling Corsair airplanes during the WW II effort. She was a true "Rosie the Riveter."
She is survived by children Jim "Buck" Walters (Joyce) of Hopwood, PA, Gloria Brashear (Rev. Jim) of Macungie PA, Judy McClain (Larry) of Birmingham AL and Pat Goettel (Jeff) of Monongahela PA. She is also survived by 14 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Granddaughter.
A viewing and service will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 pm Wednesday December 4, 2024 in the Haky Funeral Home at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.

Met. Joanna, which we all called Gram at Weis Bingo. Always had fun joking with her. Always said to me You getter be good And stuck her tongue out at me. Will Miss you.
