JoAnna Mae (Golliday) Harford, 85 of Bellefontaine, OH, formerly of
Lakeview, OH, passed away peacefully, Friday afternoon, August 15, 2025, with her family by her side at Logan Acres Care Center, Bellefontaine, OH.
JoAnna was born on March 27, 1940, in Stokes Twp, Logan Co, OH, a daughter of the late Francis Edward and Noma Mae (Barnes) Golliday. JoAnna married Richard Dennis Harford on October 21, 1961, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wapakoneta, OH and he preceded her in death on January 29, 2008. She was also preceded in death by four siblings, Dwaine Golliday, Joseph Golliday, Marylin Golliday, and Merlin Golliday, and a brother-in-law, Hugh Sosby.
JoAnna is survived by eight Children: Dennis (Penny) Harford of Lakeview, Kevin Harford of Huntsville, Mark (Jennifer) Harford of Lakeview, Janelle (Dave) Shoffner of Huntsville, Kim (Henry) Boswell of Russells Point, Julie (Jim) Grider of Huntsville, Mindy (Scott) King of Marysville, and Malesia (Ben) Roby of Russells Point, twenty-eight Grandchildren: Andrea (Petr) Rechtoris, Aimee (Steve) Pope, Anna Marie (Dillon) Robb, Kaden Harford, Chloe Laing-Harford, Holly Harford, Emily Harford, Kylee Harford, Natalie Harford, Stephanie Harford, Bethany Harford, Luke Harford, Kyle Shoffner, Kale Shoffner, Kelly Shoffner, Morgan (Justin) Widmark, Monica (Ivan) Reichert, Christian Grider, Michelle Grider, Aubrey (DJ) McDonald, Cameron King, Brayden King, Lillian Roby, Katrina Roby, Halle Roby, Addyson Roby, and Charles Roby, five Great Grandchildren, Gage Pope, Vada Pope, John Reichert, Eliza Reichert, and Walter Widmark, Siblings, Mary Sosby of Jackson Center, and Ed (Jan) Golliday of Lewistown, In-Laws, Thomas (Dawon) Harford of Lakeview, Rose Mary (Carl) Wagner of Huntsville, Debra (Vince) Huff of Tipp City and Dixie Golliday of Lewistown, and numerous nieces and nephews
JoAnna was a 1959 graduate of St. Joseph Catholic Parochial School in Wapakoneta. She studied at Richard Weston School of Beauty Culture as a beautician. JoAnna was an active member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Russells Point, and Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She was an avid fan of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and attended every event of theirs that she could.
Reverend Shawn Landenwitch will begin a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 22, 2025, at St. Mary of the Woods Church, 464 Madison Ave, Russells Point. Visitation is Thursday, August 21st from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St, Lakeview and one hour prior to mass at church on Friday. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery, New Hampshire, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in JoAnna's memory to ILHS Volleyball Scholarship or Morgan's Place Cemetery.
