Joanne Margaret Rabideau, age 77, of Highland, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.
Joanne loved nothing more than spending time with her sisters - their many adventures were filled with laughter, love, and the occasional shenanigan. Their bond was a constant source of joy. Her quick wit and well-timed one-liners brought joy to everyone around her. She found deep fulfillment working in daycare, where the children and staff brightened her days - and where she also met the love of her later life, her dear "Mike-Mike."
Joanne is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Rabideau, and by the loving memory of her first husband, Donald F. Jeffords, who preceded her in death in 1991. She was the beloved mother of Scott (Vickie) Jeffords and Shawn Jeffords, and proud stepmother to Eric (Kimberly) Rabideau and Nathan Rabideau. She was a deeply loved grandmother to Anthony and Sophia Jeffords, and Brecklynd and Brystelle Rabideau. Joanne is also survived by her sisters, Susan (Phil) Yoder and Gloria (Art Wrenn) Schauman; and her sisters-in-law, Janice (Vaughn) Richmond and Joan (Brian) Simmons; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Kloster, her mother, Anne Schwemler Kloster, and her first husband, Donald.
Joanne was known to say that she would like to "sleep on the clouds," and her family now imagines her resting peacefully there - surrounded by light, laughter, and love.
Visitation to take place on Tuesday, July 8th from 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM. Mass of the Resurrection to take place on Wednesday, July 9th at Church of the Holy Spirit at 11:00 AM. Instate, or gathering period, to take place at 10:00 AM.
