Mrs. Spears was a military spouse but a mother first and foremost.
Mrs. Spears leaves behind her four children: Raymond, Yolanda, Myrus and Deonchore; she leaves behind fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren, as well as her only surviving sister, Mrs. Barbara Guidry.
Mrs. Spears is proceeded in death by her beloved husband Raymond Spears Sr.
The Celebration of Life for Joanne Marie Spears will take place on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 1pm to 3pm at Kinchen Funeral Home in Lafayette, La.
