Joanne Good Warfel, 81, of Weirton, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 10, 2025, at PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Pittsburgh. Born in Millersville, PA, on February 23, 1944, she was a beloved daughter of Paul and Virginia Good Warfel.
Joanne was a graduate of Sunnyslope High School, Class of 1962.
She dedicated her career to serving others, working in the Child Support Department of the Maricopa County Courthouse. A woman of deep faith, she was raised in the Mennonite tradition and carried the values of kindness and compassion throughout her life.
She found great joy in life's simple pleasures, whether taking road trips, especially those that led to the warm embrace of family, feeding the birds and squirrels in her yard, or tending to her beloved plants and flowers each spring.
Joanne cherished old country music and the timeless melodies of the 1950s. She found happiness in feeling the sun on her face and treasured time spent with her granddaughter, Caitlyn, whom she adored.
Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she found great delight in the season's joy, warmth, and togetherness.
In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Howard, brother David Warfel, and sister Alice Warfel.
Left to cherish her memory with love are her daughter Janell (Dr. Kevin) Kelly of Weirton, brother Mark Warfel of Arizona, and granddaughter Caitlyn Casey of New York.
Friends can visit Joanne's family on Friday, March 14, from 4-7 pm at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV. 26062.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, March 15, at Weirton Alliance Church, 119 North 13th Street, Weirton, WV.
Interment will be at 1 pm on Sunday, March 16, in Paris Cemetery.
Pastor James Rhodes will officiate.
