Jodi L. Lang

Jodi L. Lang, age 64, a 40-year resident of Los Angeles, CA, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2024 at Bowman Hospice Center at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. She was born on November 7, 1960 in Berwyn, IL.
Jodi is survived by her loving siblings, Jennifer Lang of Los Angeles, CA and Jeffrey (Patricia) Lang of Plainfield, IL; her cherished nephew, Kevin (Brittany) Lang and niece, Jessica (Nico) Autenrieth; as well as countless good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Joyce Lang.
Jodi graduated from Naperville North High School in 1978. Upon graduating Jodi moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in dance. Having grown up dancing at her mother's dance school, Joyce Lang School of Dance, it was the next step in furthering her love of the arts. Some of her professional accomplishments in live theatre include Chicago with Juliet Prowse and Bebe Neuwith; Will Rogers Follies, A Chorus Line, Sugar Babies with Rip Taylor and Juliet Prowse; Sweet Charity, Radio City Music Hall Rockettes and portraying Sleeping Beauty at Tokyo Disneyland. In TV she appeared on The Drew Carey Show, Home Improvement, Chicago Hope with Robin Williams, The Rosie O'Donnell Show and the #1 Italian variety show in Rome, Fantastico.
Jodi also loved ballroom dancing and studied Salsa, Cha Cha, Mambo, Argentine Tango, Waltz and Foxtrot. Soon, she was an instructor of these dances and taught all around the Los Angeles area. Jodi's love of dance also landed her on a trip around the world dancing on a cruise ship with Holland America.
Among other interests Jodi became a licensed massage therapist working specifically with dancers and studied yoga.
Jodi was a daughter, sister, aunt, friend, choreographer and above all a dancer. She will be missed by all who loved her.
