Bentley, Michigan
Jodie Dore, age 64, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023, at home with her family by her side, from ovarian cancer. Jodie was born in Wyandotte, Michigan, on January 8, 1959, to James and Judith (Love) Morley. She worked on the family farm, racing horses. She loved riding horses with her sister Jamie and working hard together with her family. Jodie was a graduate of Western High School in Auburn, Michigan and went on to have several jobs. She moved to California and worked in the office of the Vector Graphic Corporation, later moving back to Michigan, and working for Bectel Corporation in the office building at the Nuclear Plant in Midland, Michigan, all before helping start the family farm, in Bentley, Michigan with her husband Don.
Jodie Married her husband Don on August 1, 1981, and was married for 41 years. Jodie loved working with animals, bailing hay, and working hard with Don, her son Eric, daughter-in-law, Joyce and grandchildren. Nothing made Jodie happier than being with her family. Jodie had many friends who loved her and knew her well. Jodie was a, "what you see is what you get" country girl, plain spoken and to the point. That is what her family and friends loved about her. Jodie will be dearly missed. Jodie was one of Jehovah's Witnesses' and loved talking about God's kingdom and her family looked forward to being with her in paradise.
Jodie is survived by her husband, Don Dore, daughter, Darlene Dore, her children, Tiffany Sattler, Joseph Mahan, and Remington Mahan, her son, Eric (Joyce) Dore of Bentley, Michigan, their children, Addison and William Dore, her sister, Jamie (Randy) Zylman of Coleman, Michigan.
Jodie loved quilting, making and designing them, then giving them to close friends and family. The love always flowed from Jodie's creations to those who received one. Jodie also loved going to the county fair each year with family, showing and displaying the fruits of the family's crop.

Per Jodie's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family has entrusted the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home - Gladwin Chapel.

I'm sorry to hear this. It was wonderful getting to know jody as she became part f the congregation, then the rest of the family. She will be greatly missed. Can't wait too see all the beautiful reunions of families in the near future. Sending hugs to everyone .
