Jodie L. Vaughn, 48, of Carthage, NY, passed away unexpectedly on June 30, 2025, in Syracuse following a medical procedure.

Jodie was born on December 11, 1976, in Rome, NY, the daughter of Bruce W. and Leona (Smith) Vaughn. She attended high school in Copenhagen and later at Watertown High School.

Jodie worked for many years as a housekeeper at Samaritan Medical Center. She also held positions at Northern Linen in Watertown and, since 2019, was a beloved member of the kitchen staff at Meme's Diner, where she worked up until her passing.

Jodie found joy in the simple things-she loved listening to music, spending time with her grandchildren, and cheering on her son during his wrestling matches at Carthage Central School. She was also a devoted pet owner to her two dogs, Joseph and Lewis.

Among her survivors are her two children, Cheyanne C. Adams of Tylersville, NY, and Jesse J. Bowman of Carthage, NY; three cherished grandchildren, Maverick, Chase, and Dakota Gage; her parents, Bruce W. and Leona Vaughn of Watertown, NY; three brothers and a sister in law, Mark W. (Brandy E.) Snyder of Watertown, Frank D. Snyder, and Robert A. Snyder of Ohio; a sister, Crystal G. Vaughn of Lowville, NY; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Kevin Snyder and Ronald Snyder Jr.

Arrangements are entrusted to Hart & Bruce Funeral Home, 117 N. Massey Street, Watertown. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, July 6, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, with a funeral service immediately following at 4:00 PM at the funeral home. A celebration of life will follow at Meme's Diner in Felts Mills.

Burial will take place on Monday, July 7, at 1:00 PM in Brookside Cemetery.
