Jody Edgell, age 60, of Sardis, OH, beloved wife, mother and Bammy, departed her earthy body on June 20, 2025.
Joedda Rae Williams, aptly named, as she was a ray of light to all she met, was born July 7, 1964, in New Martinsville, WV, a daughter of the late Rexel R. and Dorothy Ann Probst.
She was a member of Connection Church, New Martinsville and a leader of Celebrate Recovery.
Jody was the needle of the family's compass, guiding us all through life's journeys-the triumphs and tribulations- and always guided us all back home. She was truly at the center of our world. Her devotion to her family was second only to her devotion to Jesus, her lord and savior. While we take great comfort in knowing she now resides in her heavenly home, Jody will be deeply mourned here on earth by her loving and devoted husband of 46 years, David Edgell; two sons, Jeremy (Anna) Edgell of Sardis, OH, Seth (Courtney) Edgell of Clarksburg, WV; daughter, Sierra Edgell of Sardis, OH; brother, Todd (Kathy) Williams of Sardis, OH; sister, Debra Willhoite of New Martinsville, WV; and 11 grandchildren Eli, Chloe, Sarah, Wyatt, Briar, Camden, Julian, Samuel, Ysa, Arjon and Andre; special family member, Hailey and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey L. Williams and a sister, Susan Kay Williams
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory 751 Third St. New Martinsville, WV.
Interment will follow in Sardis Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Connection Church c\o 416 Lemont Lane New Martinsville, WV 26155
