Dear Aunt Carol and Monica and Stacey and Jayla,

You all know how much Uncle Joe (and the four of you) mean to Darryl and me. We miss Uncle Joe terribly. This first year without him has been bittersweet. Through our pain and loss we hold dear the memories of him. We are proud of him and his service to the Lord. May God in His mercy give us all the strength to carry on in Uncle Joe's absence and hope of seeing him again in heaven.

We love you with all our hearts! Take care

My brother, Jerry Bailey, and I offer our heartfelt sympathy during this difficult time. Joe is not lost to us because we know where he is, and that is with our Lord whom he loved with his whole heart. May you be comforted by the knowledge that "earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal."

Once in a great while, one has the opportunity to meet a truly special human being. One with unequaled grace, character and compassion. One who makes everyone he meets feel like the most important person in the world. I had the incredible good fortune to meet such a person in Joe Anderson, and to call him my friend. The world is a little darker today, and my heart is broken. Love and prayers to Stacy and your family.

We are friends of Stacy's and wanted to let the entire family know that we are thinking and praying for you. “For we walk by faith, not by sight: We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.” II Corinthians 5: 7-9. Find comfort in knowing that your loved one is in the presence of the Lord.

We want you to know that your family is in our thoughts and prayers. If there is anything that we can do, please do not hesitate to let either of us know. We know Stacy (Joe's daughter) and because of the loving and caring person that she is we know that her father had to show the same qualities. Though this is a very difficult time -- continue to put your faith and trust in God and he will provide you with the peace that passes all understanding.

It's so difficult to explain the loss I feel for Joe - he made me feel like he knew me forever and we'd just met. You knew he was special - he had a presence about him, he was genuine and he didn't have to tell you he was a Christian, he "walked the walk" - Carol you were blessed to have him for a husband and I pray for you and your family to endure the loss of this wonderful man. Kindly and Sincerely, Susan Henry
