Joe David Cockerham

Mr. Joe D. Cockerham, age 69. of Wilmington, Delaware passed away peacefully on Monday, June 9, 2025 in Accentcare Hospice, Wilmington, Delaware.
Born in Wilmington, Delaware, one of four sons to Betty Jo Trimble and William Rex Cockerham; he was a graduate of Christiana High School, Class of 1973. Joe also obtained an Associate in Science degree from the University of Delaware and completed several classes in Business Administration.
Prior to retirement, Joe was employed alongside his father, in the family's former automotive collision repair business, Rex's Auto Body.
In his earlier years, Joe enjoyed running and was a member of his high school track team. He always enjoyed cars and time spent with his friends and family at social gatherings.
In addition to his late parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother Margie Brook Burris Trimble. Joe is survived by his three brothers, Gary Scott, husband of Linda Cockerham, Christopher Lynn, husband of Lourdes Cockerham, and Michael Brooks Cockerham; his nieces, Christine Alyse Morris, and Hailey Brook Cockerham, and nephew Cole Michael Cockerham.
Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Williams Funeral Home and Burial Services
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family at a later time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association.
