Joe Bill English, 101 of Benton, Kentucky died on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Oakview Manor Healthcare Center in Calvert City, Kentucky.
Born Monday, August 13, 1923 in Benton, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Marion English and the late Goldie Smallman English. He was a member of Briensburg Baptist Church, He was the oldest member of Briensburg-TL Jefferson #401 F. & A.M. Masonic Lodge, spanning nearly 80 years. He was a proud WWII US Navy Veteran. Joe Bill enjoyed traveling in his RV and had a great appreciation and love of antique cars.
Surviving are daughter, Linda Van Steenbergen (Mike) of Benton, KY; grandsons, Mark Story (Melynda), Andrew Story (Stacey), Seth Story (Kim) and Aaron Story (Danyele); 12 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 73 years, Lounell Noles English, several brothers and sisters and grandson Charles Story.
Funeral services will be Monday, March 17, 2025 at 11:00 am at Collier Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. C.C. Brasher officiating.
Burial following at Briensburg Cemetery with Military Rites.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 16, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 8;00 pm with Masonic Rites at 6:00 pm. at Collier Funeral Home located at 211 West 5th Street Benton, KY 42025.
Monetary donations can be made to the Briensburg Cemetery Fund c/o Barbara Crouch 3277 Palma Road Calvert City, KY 42029.
