Joe Walker “Buddy” McCrary, Jr. of Madison, Tennessee passed away on October 2, 2023, at the age of 69. He was born on July 21, 1954, to Joe Walker McCrary, Sr. and Evelyn Ruth (Whittle) McCrary. He enjoyed driving the tractor, cutting hay, and cutting up with friends and family.
Joe was of the Christian faith. He graduated from Madison High School. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Evelyn McCrary, and his brother, Mike McCrary.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of fifty years, Donna McCrary; son, Christopher Walker McCrary (Jo); sisters, Judy Morris and Dianne Mobley; grandson, Benjamin Walker McCrary; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30pm on Friday, October 6, 2023, in the chapel of Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Visitation will also be on Friday, October 6, 2023, from 10:30am until the hour of service at 1:30pm with burial to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation in Joe McCrary’s honor. You can find online donations at www.kidney.org.
