Joe David Regester, 81, of Spring, Texas passed away on Tuesday, February 25th, 2025. Joe was born on March 25, 1943, in Athens, Texas to parents Joseph Taze and Marjorie Cross Regester, who preceded him in death.
He was married to the absolute love of his life, Carol Frances (Clark) Regester, for almost 58 years, who preceded him in death in 2021. He is survived by their two sons, David and Justin and their wives: Joey and Jill, of Spring, Texas, along with three grandchildren: Cole Regester and Seth Regester of Moulton, TX, and Hope Regester of Spring, Texas.
In the early years of their marriage, Joe completed his BS in Mathematics ('69) and MS in Physics ('72) degrees at the University of Houston, while Carol was proud to support the young family as an oral surgery assistant. He also taught mathematics in public school, where he discovered his love for teaching and sharing his knowledge.
Joe spent his life actively involved in church and lovingly touched the lives of many young people as a youth choir counselor over the years. As his boys grew up, he rekindled his love for teaching and spent the majority of his remaining years as a Director and Teacher of his adult Sunday School class. He was also a leading member of the Deacon body throughout his adult life, eventually becoming an ordained Minister. Joe had a long and proud career as a Senior Systems Analyst working for Anadarko Petroleum for nearly 27 years. Joe had a deep passion for teaching others about the free gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord and was a mighty prayer warrior and he would want all to know that he is now happily reunited with Carol and countless other friends and family members in Heaven.
A celebration of Joe's life will be held on Wednesday, March 5th, 2025, at 10:00 am at the McNutt Funeral Home and Chapel in Conroe, followed by a graveside service at Conroe Memorial Park Cemetery, Conroe Texas. A reception with light refreshments will be provided at the McNutt pavilion following the graveside service.
The family would like to take a moment to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at both Memorial Hermann Hospital and Texas Oncology for taking such exceptional care of Joe during a most difficult time.
