Joel Alan Campbell

Joel Alan Campbell unexpectedly passed away in his sleep on Sunday, November 27, 2022, at his residence in Plain City, Ohio. He was 65 years old.
Joel is survived by his loving Mother M. Jo Smith, siblings Stephen Campbell and Laura Frank, by the love of his life, April Campbell, children Joey and Crystal Campbell, Dorothy Martinez, and extended family in Albuquerque, NM, by stepsiblings Susan Rutter, Sandra Oliver, Sharolyn Strebe, Josie Ulrey, Marc Zingarelli, and Beth Rice, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and 8 grandchildren he loved dearly. Joel was preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Campbell, father, Francis Campbell, stepmother Louise Campbell, and stepfather Russell T. Smith.
Joel was a graduate of Dublin High School, Class of 1976. (I don't think he had anything to do with the small smoke bomb that went off during his graduation ceremony).
Over the years, his jobs took him to Houston, Texas, Pearland, Texas, and London, Ohio. Joel had a very strong work ethic, always dedicated to excellence in his work duties.
Joel loved Mexican Food! He enjoyed watching kickboxing. Joel frequently played the Ohio Lottery, and I imagine he especially wanted to win the last Powerball $2.04 billion jackpot. Joel enjoyed relaxing in the sun by a pool and dreamed of someday going to Hawaii.
