Joseph Brandt Schnake, age 51, of Lake Park, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026. He was born on November 26, 1974, in Jacksonville, IL to loving parents, Melvin Earl Schnake and Katherine Louise Evans Cooper.
Joseph was a dedicated land manager for Langwood Plantation and a proud veteran of the United States Army. Known for his strong work ethic, he approached everything he did with determination and pride.
Joseph enjoyed guiding quail hunts and had a deep appreciation for firearms and the traditions surrounding them. Outside of work, he found great joy in music. He especially loved playing his guitar, a pastime that reflected his easygoing spirit and brought happiness to those around him.
Through his hard work, passions, and warm personality, Joseph left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Susan Marie Meade.
He is survived by his children, Brandt Schnake and Lee Schnake of Tuscaloosa, AL; parents, Katherine cooper (Mike) of Thomasville, GA and Dr. Mel Schnake (Robin) of Valdosta, GA; siblings Ben Schnake of Valdosta, GA and Beth Ann Schnake of Vienna, GA; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
As per his wishes, he will be cremated and the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Friday, March 6, 2026, at the funeral home. Kind words and expressions of sympathy can be left for the family at www.musicfuneralservices.com. The Schnake family is being served by the professional and caring staff of Music Funeral Services of Valdosta.
