John Barry Obituary

Raised in New York City, John was one of four sons born to William and Louise Barry. After high school, John joined the United States Army where he was assigned to the 84th Engineer Battalion in Vietnam. Following his service in the Army, he had a long career as a driver for UPS. After retiring in 2003, John enjoyed vacationing in the Catskills and spending time with his family, especially his adored grandchildren.
John is lovingly survived by his wife, Pina; his daughter, Tracey Ann Suhey and her husband Robert P. Suhey, Jr.; his son, Daniel T. Barry and his wife Emily Rose; his brothers, Donald and William; and his grandchildren, Emily, Ashley, Matthew, Savannah and Brooklyn; and his father in-law, Nicolo Adamo. He was predeceased by his brother, Richard.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 7-9 on Tuesday, October 12 at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 am on Wednesday at St. Mary's RC Church, Pompton Lakes. Burial will follow at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah.
