In 1980, John graduated from Medina Valley High School. He worked as a welder and landscaper in Medina and Bexar Counties. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and being outdoors.
Survivors include his children, Ashley Brieden (Ronnie) Rye, Richard (Amber) Brieden, and Rhyan Brieden; eight grandchildren; siblings, Harold (Joni) Brieden, De Ann (Mac) Qualls, and Janet (Dan) French; and several niece and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry Brieden, Sr. and Dorothy Lea Mumme Brieden.
John's family will have a Memorial Celebration of Life on a future date.
