John J. Cahill Jr. age 81 of Howell passed away Friday, October 29, 2021 at the Caretel Inns of Brighton. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, MacDonald's Chapel with burial to follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4-8 PM and one hour prior to the service.
John James Cahill Jr. was born August 11, 1940 in Framingham, MA a son of John and Florence (White) Cahill Sr. On December 10, 1960 he married Margaret Anne Beckwith, she preceded him in death in 2018. John was a member of the Sons of American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, going to his cabin up north and U of M football. Prior to his retirement in 2010, he worked in fire and safety for over 40 years.
John is survived by his children, James (Michelle) Cahill of OH, Jackie (Bob) McLachlan of Fowlerville, and Robert Cahill of Howell; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Bennett and brother, Dennis Cahill.
